Over the past day, 27,434 new cases of coronavirus have been recorded in the country in 85 regions, the headquarters said on Saturday. Within 24 hours, 1,076 people died in Russia who contracted coronavirus. 38,041 patients fully recovered within 24 hours.
A day earlier, 27,743 cases of coronavirus infection were registered in Russia, the figure became the lowest since October 8. 1080 people died – the figure dropped below 1,100 cases for the first time since October 25.
Over the past day, the top five subjects with the largest number of new cases of COVID-19 included Moscow (+2283), St. Petersburg (+1997), Moscow region (+1683), Krasnodar Territory (+749) and Krasnoyarsk Territory (+655)
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 10,186,823 cases of coronavirus have been identified in Russia, 296,180 cases have died, and 8,952,266 people have recovered.
The level of herd immunity to coronavirus in Russia increased over the week from 55.7% to 58.2% against a target of 80%, the headquarters said on Friday. The first of the two doses of the corresponding vaccines was received by 76.5 million citizens, of whom more than 70.8 million received both vaccinations. 8.9 million residents of the country have been ill with COVID-19.
