As reported, on Monday the Russian authorities announced that they had started the evacuation of residents from the Krasnaya Yaruga district due to the activity of the Ukrainian army.

On Monday evening, the entry to this district, where the total population according to the 2020 census data reached 14,000, was closed.

The Belgorod region, which borders Ukraine in the west, borders the Kursk region of Russia in the north, where the Ukrainian army has now entered.

As reported, the Ukrainian army started the attack in the Kursk region on August 6, breaking through the Russian border guard in the Suzh region, and then starting a rapid advance in the neighboring territories as well.

Thus, as the hostilities continued for the third year after Russia’s repeated invasion, Ukraine finally transferred the war to the territory of the aggressor country itself.

On the night of Sunday, the Ukrainian army entered the Belaya district of the Kursk region, which borders the Belgorod region. On Monday, the evacuation of the residents of the Belaya region also began.

As Russian local authorities reported to dictator Vladimir Purin on Monday, 121,000 Russians had already fled or evacuated from their homes at that time, and the authorities were going to evacuate another 180,000.
