In Russia, sales of new passenger cars more than doubled in November

On December 4, the Ministry of Industry and Trade reported that over 11 months of 2023, over 1.17 million new cars were sold in Russia, which is 59% more than during the same period in 2022 (almost 740,000 cars). It was clarified that almost half of the cars sold (49.5%) were Russian cars. According to the department, in January-November sales of new passenger cars increased by 60% to 938,600 units. According to Autostat, 939,254 passenger cars were sold over 11 months, which is 64.9% more than a year ago.
