“The high numbers demonstrate how correct the decision to introduce paid entry to the Pantheon was. Between September and October, almost 620 thousand visitors were registered for a revenue of around 2.5 million euros, which will be used for the maintenance of this extraordinary architecture, for solidarity initiatives and for the recovery of the cultural heritage of the flooded areas of Emilia Romagna. Almost 30 thousand young people between 18 and 25 years old benefited from the reduced ticket, while over 115 thousand visitors entered for free. The solar temple par excellence of Roman times thus continues to radiate its light.” This was stated by the Minister of Culture, Gennaro Sangiuliano, when commenting on the data regarding the third and fourth month since the introduction of paid access to the Pantheon.

In particular, the contribution collected for Emilia Romagna in the period considered was 503,719 euros, bringing the overall total of resources collected in four months to 897,001 euros. More in detail, admissions to the monument from 1 September to 31 October were 619,095 for a total gross takings of 2,453,408 euros. The total contribution for flooding in Emilia Romagna therefore amounts to 503,719 euros.
