According to central bank data, an average of US$ 80 million remittances came into the country in September. Among the amount of remittances received in the country in the month of September, 638.3 million dollars came through state-owned banks, 110 million dollars through a specialized bank, 1.65 billion dollars came through private banks and 6.2 million dollars came through foreign banks.
At this time, no remittance came through government BDBL, Rajshahi Agricultural Development Bank, Community Bank, Foreign Habib Bank, National Bank of Pakistan and State Bank of India.
In the three months from July to September of the current fiscal year 2024-25, 6.54 billion 3 million USD remittances have arrived in the country. In the same period of the previous year, the amount was 490.7 million US dollars. Remittance growth has been 33.3 percent during the period under discussion.
In July of the current financial year 2024-25, remittances of 1913.777 million dollars have arrived and in August, 2221.322 million dollars have come.
