BOLZANO. In South Tyrol, more than 10% of the population has already received at least the first dose of the vaccine. Vaccination of over 75s has also started successfully. This was stated by the provincial health authority.
“The vaccination campaign is going very well in South Tyrol – reads a note – 10.17% of South Tyroleans and South Tyroleans have already been vaccinated with at least one dose; calculated on the target of the population over 18 we are even talking about almost 13%. This is also reflected in the statistics at the national level: South Tyrol is in first place in terms of the number of vaccinations in proportion to the number of inhabitants ”.
Starting Saturday, March 13, those over 75 will have the option of being placed on a waiting list via a phone call. These people will subsequently be made an appointment to perform the vaccination. Provincial Councilor Thomas Widmann: “Vaccinations are progressing well. In Italy we are at the top. We are making every effort to vaccinate the elderly and frail people as quickly as possible, because they are the categories most at risk.
