Police officers are conducting searches in St. Petersburg in connection with a case of fraud during the construction of a stadium on Krestovsky Island, two sources in the St. Petersburg administration said and confirmed by Inzhtransstroy-SPB (the construction contractor). He personally supervised the construction of the stadium. Hovhannisyan might have known CEM # 5 for the reconstruction of the Bolshoi Theater and the construction of the second stage of the Mariinsky Theater, in which the company took part. In March, the contractor tried to challenge the unilateral withdrawal from the contract, but the court returned the application. EMS No. 5 in the winter stopped paying for work to subcontractors, the company explained this by the beginning of the process of its own liquidation, says the manager of one of the partner companies of EMS No. 5. According to SPARK-Interfax, EMS No. 5 was filed for 2015-2016. 43 claims with general claims for RUB 302 million.
