Oli Tsoumani emphasized that the current and previous municipal authorities, together with the Region, have huge responsibilities for this situation, since not only have they supported the understaffing of SYDLI and DEVIA, but they are not taking any measures for the maintenance of network, which is obsolete, because it is an “ineligible” project. This results in the total water losses amounting to 50% and DEVIA selling the water to the consumer at 1.47 euros/cubic.
