Elder brother Ross Adair gets a taste of the century. Younger brother Mark Adair took 4 wickets. Ireland defeated South Africa for the first time in T20 with the brilliant performance of two brothers’ centuries and 4 wickets. Ireland won by 10 runs in Abu Dhabi.
Batting first, Ireland scored 195 runs for 6 wickets. In reply, South Africa could not score more than 185 runs for 9 wickets. Opener Ross Adair was the hero of the Irish’s historic win. Scored 100 runs off 58 balls with 5 fours and 9 sixes. Ireland gets a huge collection in his maiden century in international cricket.
Later, his younger brother Mark Adair played an important role with the ball. This pacer took 4 wickets for 31 runs. Ireland beat the Proteas for the first time in this heroic saga of two brothers.
After losing the toss, Ireland scored 137 runs in the opening pair. Captain Paul Sterling formed a great partnership with Ross Adair. Ireland saved the series by winning the match. The two-match T20 series ended in a 1-1 tie. Both teams will play three ODIs in Abu Dhabi. The first ODI will start on October 2.
