In its founding pact, the Nupes, which has 142 seats, had promised each a parliamentary group, coordinated in an intergroup. A basis for discussion which had made possible this rapprochement between left-wing forces. But since Monday, June 20 in the morning, the new deputies, “rebellious” above all, insist on being counted as “the first opposition group”in front of the National Rally (RN).
Group or intergroup, in the National Assembly, it is not the same thing. Under the regulations, the various powers are allocated according to the numbers of the former and not the latter. So, within the Nupes, the question begins to be asked. From the end of the lips, first. “For the moment, we had effectively started with an intergroup, with each of the components having its own group. “Four groups will be stronger than one”

The barrage is immediate. One by one, the socialist, ecologist and communist staffs say “no”. “The left is plural, it is represented in its diversity in the National Assembly.
