The Kersher Israel company is the exclusive representative in Israel of the giant Kersher company from Germany, which manufactures cleaning machines and solutions for home, professional and industrial use. Thomas Weiss, the owner of the company, was already in charge of cleaning his parents’ house from a young age, and they allowed him to build an orderly plan on how to clean the house in the most thorough way. Thus, every day he determined what the cleaning tasks were. Even at school and in the army they called him “Mr. Cleanliness” and even after hard training he took care of cleaning the room.
Anyone who gets into Thomas’s car is almost certain that the mechanical one is new and has literally “come out of the nylons”. The machine is always clean and shiny as part of his “I believe in him” – when your environment is clean, you are more focused on what you are doing and it is more pleasant for you to work, and this also leads to better results and achievements.
The company Kersher Israel started its activity about 30 years ago and it brings a revolutionary product at the time – pressure washing machines for homes, cars and more. Every year the company markets about 30,000 products in the field: vacuum cleaners, washing machines, steam cleaning machines, devices for washing floors – both for the private sector and the institutional sector, as well as customized cleaning solutions for the industrial customer.
Since the beginning of the corona epidemic, the company has experienced difficulties. “For the past two years, the company has been dealing with significant shortages in the available inventory,” says Thomas. “This is because of the shortages, the slowdown in the international supply chain and shipping and infrastructure problems around the world. Because of this, the changes in prices are urgent and unexpected. For example, the price in containers jumped by hundreds of percent.”
According to him, the transport prices of a container increased during this period from 2,000 dollars to 6,000 dollars. “The lack of ships caused longer delivery times, and the delay in the ports resulted in ships being forced to leave Israel’s ports and unload goods in Cyprus, Greece and Port Said. The company has a large backlog of orders for equipment that is delayed in delivery by about three months.”
Despite this, Thomas points out that during the Corona period the company actually increased its sales turnover by about 22% due to the fact that it supplied many food factories with washing, cleaning and disinfecting machines.
The company has a high presence in the business and institutional sector. Among its clients are: Israel Railways, Egged, Dan Transport, food factories, garages, El Al, the Aerospace Industry and more. Recently launched a new device for washing and scrubbing floors for home use – FC7 – which immediately received huge demand. But due to lack of stock, customers waited over two months until they received the device.
The company also has working relationships with Kresher representations in various countries in the world, among them: Portugal, Greece, Cyprus and Dubai. “The cooperation is expressed in the supply of stock between one representative office and another, and this allows us to deal with such and such supply difficulties.”
