But when he was slaughtered, a mystery that had lasted for 24 years was also surprisingly solved: this is where the five dogs of hunter Ned McNeely had gone.

According to the Sun, McNeely after capturing the huge crocodile decided to take it to a slaughterer and taxidermist. The meat would be made into sausages and the sturdy shell – about 200 kilos – embalmed.
While the workers slaughtered the alligator, inside the stomach they found five dog tags that had disappeared 24 years ago. “The crocodile was between 50 and 70 years old. It was certainly he who devoured the dogs, ”explained Claudia Cordray, owner of the slaughtering business.

One of the tags was printed with the owner’s phone number, which was traced. The man confirmed that he was hunting in the same area 24 years ago. And that the tag, at the time of his disappearance, belonged to one of his dogs.
In addition, a bulletproof vest, a car spark plug, several turtle shells emerged from the crocodile’s stomach. And bobcat claws. McNeely explained that the dogs weighed around 36 kg and the crocodile was the largest he had ever caught.
“I had to catch him a couple of times and waste a lot of stuff, including hooks and kayaks. To take him out of the canal we tied him with a chain to a tractor ”.
