Trading on the Dhaka and Chittagong Stock Exchange (DSE-CSE) ended the third working day of the week on Tuesday (September 10) with the indices trading higher. On this day, transactions in DSE and CSE decreased in amount compared to the previous working day. However, unit prices of most companies and mutual funds traded on DSE rose but fell on CSE.

According to DSE and CSE sources, at the end of the day, the main index of DSE, DSEX, increased by 73.28 points from the previous day and stood at 5,702 points. The DSE Shariah index increased by 20.24 points to 1,235 points and the DS30 index increased by 22.21 points to 2,114 points.

A total of 396 shares and units of companies were traded on DSE. Among them, the share and unit prices of 273 companies increased, 76 decreased and 47 remained unchanged.

A total of 562 crore 72 lakh shares and units were traded in DSE on this day. Shares and units worth Tk 621 crore 35 lakh were traded on the previous working day.

On the other hand, the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) CSCX index rose by 45.31 points to 9,729 points. Overall index CASPI decreased by 70.79 points to 16 thousand 135 points, Sharia index increased by 4.80 points to 1 thousand 25 points and CSE30 index increased by 38.97 points to 13 thousand 73 points.

Shares and units of 227 companies were traded on CSE. Among them, share and unit prices increased in 95 companies, decreased in 100 and remained unchanged in 32.

At the end of the day, shares and units worth Tk 5 crore 78 lakh were traded in CSE. Shares and units worth Tk 7 crore 41 lakh were traded on the previous working day.
