Flare burning is observed at the branch of the Urengoy-Pomary-Uzhgorod gas pipeline in the Chelyabinsk region, Interfax reported with reference to the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. The incident took place 2 km from the village of Borovoe, at 1793 km of the M5 federal highway. Experts have blocked the section of the gas pipeline.
“The gas pipeline is closed, the height of the flare burning has decreased several times, now it is about one meter,” the Emergencies Ministry said. It is noted that there are no casualties and no threat to settlements, traffic along the highway is not blocked.
Recall that on December 14, a gas pipeline breakthrough occurred in the Stavropol Territory, as a result of which a torch burning with a flame height of up to 1.5 m occurred. During work on the damaged section, gas supply from distribution stations in four settlements was interrupted.
