In recent weeks, more than a year after its creation, the New People’s Ecological and Social Union (Nupes) has been faltering and tensions between its components are exacerbated. Since May 2, the date of a working meeting devoted to the Europeans which had turned sour, the leaders of the left-wing coalition had no longer met among themselves, except around round tables at public events. Their weekly meeting, by videoconference, on Monday morning, had also been interrupted.
But, according to our information, from concordant sources, it must resume, at least once before the holidays, next Monday. “A working meeting is well planned”, we confirm on the socialist side, arguing for a joint initiative “PS / EELV”.
