The State Children’s Rights Protection Inspectorate (VBTAI) team has been involved in solving ten crisis cases during the mentioned period. In three cases VBTAI provided informative and methodological assistance, in four cases traveling to the municipal social service or educational institution. On the other hand, in three cases of crisis, consultations were provided at VBTAI premises.

In total, support was provided to 36 children, 11 educators, 7 specialists and 2 family members.

Telephone consultations are mostly provided on problems of child-parent relations, emotional abuse by parents, as well as neglect and lack of health care for children.

Both children and adults call the hotline to talk about communication and behavior problems, as well as various conflict situations. Most often, children talk about communication problems, suffer from low self-esteem for a long time, experience suicidal thoughts and such emotions as fear, powerlessness, confusion, anxiety and despair.
