Thursday, September 7, the high administrative court delivers its verdict while it is seized of an interim release on the ban on wearing the abaya at school. On Monday, the ban enacted by Gabriel Attal was defied by around 300 young girls. The appeal was filed on Friday on behalf of the association Action Droits des Musulmans (ADM), which wants to obtain the suspension of this ban. The petitioners consider that the ban “infringes the rights of the child, because it mainly targets children presumed to be Muslim, thus creating a risk of ethnic profiling at school”.

Policy. Thursday, Emmanuel Macron meets again his National Council for Refoundation (CNR). The Head of State intends to “set a course” for the continuation of the work of this body This CNR, launched to “build consensus”, is divided into several themes (“aging well”, “climate and biodiversity”, housing, youth, work…), around which political forces, social partners, representatives of companies and associations were to gather. But the first two meetings were largely shunned by the opposition parties and the same unions which will not be present on Thursday. On Tuesday, the CGT announced Tuesday that it would not go to the meeting, thus joining two other representative unions (Force Ouvrière and CFE-CGC), as well as Solidaires.
