Government. This Wednesday, September 6, Emmanuel Macron is convening a follow-up government seminar after having met the political parties for twelve hours a week earlier, in order to give substance to the few avenues mentioned, including the upcoming organization of a social conference. “The President of the Republic wishes (to be held) a government seminar devoted to the content of the exchanges, the proposals” resulting from the meeting of party leaders around the Head of State, in order to address “the issues on the merits but also from a methodological point of view,” explained Olivier Véran during the minutes of the Council of Ministers meeting on August 30.

Climate. The European Copernicus observatory delivers, on Wednesday, its report for the summer of 2023. The season was marked by several heat waves in Europe. Justice. On Wednesday, the investigating chamber of the Besançon Court of Appeal renders its decision on the request for the cancellation of two of the 30 indictments against Doctor Frédéric Péchier. The anesthetist Frédéric Péchier was indicted on March 29 for a new alleged poisoning of a patient, bringing to 30 the number of cases for which he is suspected, had indicated to Agence France-Presse the public prosecutor of Besançon Etienne Coats. Video game. Starfield, one of the most anticipated video games of the year, hits the world stage on Wednesday, with all the trappings of a Hollywood blockbuster. Microsoft, behind this launch, is banking heavily on the success of this game. A role-playing game in a science-fiction universe, it was created by the Bethesda studio, which the American giant acquired in 2020 as part of of a total investment of some 7.5 billion dollars, to help it compete with the PlayStation of the Japanese Sony.
