The Dhaka and Chittagong Stock Exchange (DSE-CSE) ended the week’s last business day on Thursday (September 19) with indices rising. On this day, DSE and CSE saw an increase in the amount of money traded compared to the previous working day. However, the share prices of most of the companies and mutual fund units traded on DSE and CSE fell.

In the last day the index rose, trading increased

According to DSE and CSE sources, at the end of the day, the main index of DSE DSEX increased by 41.13 points from the previous day at 5 thousand 735 points. The DSE Shariah index rose 12.13 points to 1,257 points and the DS30 index rose 29.46 points to 2,106 points.

A total of 397 shares and units of companies were traded on DSE. Among them, the share and unit prices of 150 companies increased, 191 decreased and 56 remained unchanged.

A total of 594 crore 77 lakh shares and units were traded in DSE on this day. Shares and units worth Tk 553 crore 65 lakh were traded on the previous working day.

On the other hand, the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) CSCX index rose by 46.28 points to 9,760 points. Overall index CASPI increased by 74.83 points to 16 thousand 191 points, Sharia index increased by 7.17 points to 1 thousand 39 points and CSE30 index increased by 85.24 points to 12 thousand 984 points.

Shares and units of 227 companies were traded on CSE. Among them, the share and unit prices of 88 companies increased, 110 decreased and 29 remained unchanged.

At the end of the day, shares and units of Tk 17 crore 1 lakh were traded in CSE. Shares and units worth Tk 8.4 crore were traded on the previous working day.
