The ‘Walton-Crab Sports Festival-2024’ is being organized by Bangladesh Crime Reporters Association (CRAB) under the auspices of Walton Hitech Industries PLC, a sports-friendly company.
Today Monday (September 23) morning, the marathon race was held in a joyful atmosphere at the Paltan Maidan ground. Shahidul Islam Shahed became the champion in the final. And the runner-up was Abdul Latif Rana.
Walton Senior Deputy Director Imran Al Bari, CRAB President Kamruzzaman Khan, General Secretary Sirajul and other CRAB members enjoyed the marathon game. This time 33 members participated in the marathon. Sports and Cultural Secretary Rakibul Islam Manik conducted the game.
There are a total of 11 disciplines and events in indoor and outdoor sports festival this year. Events include – Chess, Carrom, Speed Tram, Auction Bridge, Shooting, Marathon, Ludo, Football, Volleyball, Cricket and Badminton.
Apart from this, Walton is arranging a special prize for ten of the senior members who cannot participate in this year’s sports competition. Apart from this, Ludu game is being organized for the wives of the members.
The games of Chess, Colbridge, Auction Bridge, Carrom Singles, Carrom Doubles, Badminton Doubles and Marathon events have already been completed.
After that Ludu (for aspirants), shooting football and cricket events will be held alternately.
