A debate on the war in Ukraine to spark a moment of « clarification ». On the occasion of the opening of the ordinary session at the National Assembly, Monday, October 3, the presidential majority wanted to highlight the “acquaintances” of the National Rally (RN) and La France insoumise (LFI) with Vladimir Putin’s Russia.
Turning several times to her right, towards the benches of the RN, Elisabeth Borne targeted far-right elected officials, quick to criticize European sanctions against Russia and their consequences on the French economy. “And these sanctions? No offense to those who mask their fascination with Russian imperialism with pretend patriotism, it works,” defended the Prime Minister, who denounced the “simplicity” and the “talk about the platform”.
In a 30-minute speech, Mr.me Borne has launched an appeal to “continue the sanctions” against Vladimir Putin’s regime and referred to the organization ” in the coming months “ in Paris of an economic conference on Ukraine to “mobilize French companies” in the reconstruction of the country.
Links between the RN and the Kremlin
