Macron and Matignon. The president is due to begin an official visit to New Caledonia for several days on Monday. From Noumea, the first stage of this stay, Emmanuel Macron will give an interview to the 1 p.m. television news, on TF1 and France 2. This interview comes after the reshuffle of part of the government, Thursday July 20. Elisabeth Borne must also host the first meeting of the new government on Monday. Eight new ministers, including Gabriel Attal, propelled to the Ministry of National Education, are expected at Matignon.

Jane Birkin. The funeral of Jane Birkin, who died Sunday July 16 at the age of 76, will take place Monday in Paris, in the Saint-Roch church. If access to the church is reserved for the family and relatives of the actress and singer, a giant screen will be positioned nearby to allow the crowd of fans to attend the ceremony.
