South Korean electronics company LG has unveiled a gaming monitor, an innovative general-purpose monitor that can track and interact with the user’s movement, so that the screen position remains appropriate for the user’s location.
LG revealed the new 45-inch gaming monitor with a resolution of 3440 by 1440 pixels with OLED technology, with a refresh rate of 240 Hz and a curvature of 800 R. Previous to the unveiling of this screen, the Ultra Gear 45 GR 95 QE screen was revealed earlier last Thursday, foldable and convertible to a flat screen.
Although OLED screens are rare in desktop PCs, LG introduced a 48-inch screen in this category called the Ultra Gear 48 GQ-900B, which began shipping earlier this month.
LG also launched a 32-inch screen called Ultra Fine Display Ergo with artificial intelligence. The screen uses a camera to translate user gestures and adjust the height and width of the screen to suit the user’s position, which means that the viewer will still follow the device from the best possible angle without having to stay in one position for a long time or move to adjust the screen position.
The screen motion settings can be set to three modes according to user preferences, namely, AI motion mode, continuous motion mode, and rotating motion mode. So far, the company has not revealed the prices of these new screens, or the dates they will be put on the market.
