Latvian Olympians, who will be the first to compete in the Paris Olympic Games, have started to familiarize themselves with the competition venues. The opening ceremony will take place on Friday, and shooters Agate Rašmane and Lauris Strautmanis will start the battle for the final on Saturday.
In the sports arenas of Paris in a few days the atmosphere will heat up and it will be hot, meanwhile the city is still cooler than in Latvia, and a warmer piece of clothing is useful in the early morning or late evening hours. Beach volleyball players Tina Laura Graudiņa and Anastasia Samoilova, as well as figure jumper Jay Delaney Patrick, have already tried the training places. It seems that it will remain the only time when our team trained on the main field. On Wednesday, the American women faced each other on another training ground. On Monday, the Latvian beach volleyball players will play the first match of the Olympic tournament against the Swiss women.
