The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) ended the last working day of the week on Thursday (March 14) with a slight fall in the indices. The amount of transactions increased compared to the previous working day. Shares of most companies and mutual fund units traded on DSE and CSE fell on the day.

According to the market review, the main index of DSE, DSEX, is down 6.06 points from the previous day at 5,968 points. The DSE Shariah index fell by 1.02 points to 1,299 points and the DS30 index fell by 4.98 points to 2,522 points.

A total of 394 shares and units of companies were traded on DSE. Among them, the share and unit prices of 165 companies increased, 171 companies decreased and 58 companies remained unchanged.

A total of Tk 514 crore 63 lakh was transacted in DSE on this day. 483 crore 30 lakh taka was traded on the previous working day.

On the other hand, Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) CSCX increased by 9.24 points to 10 thousand 126 points. Overall index CASPI increased by 15.07 points to 17 thousand 90 points, Shariah index increased by 2.12 points to 1 thousand 108 points and CSE30 index increased by 36.78 points to 12 thousand 811 points.

On the day, shares and units of 212 companies were traded on CSE. Among them, the share and unit prices of 85 companies increased, 89 companies decreased and 38 companies remained unchanged. At the end of the day, shares and units worth Tk 13 crore 93 lakh were traded in CSE. 11 crore 72 lakh was traded on the previous working day.
