/ The Iraqi Olympic team defeated FC Akron, one of the first division clubs in the Russian league, with two goals to none in the training match that took place between them on Wednesday evening in Dubai.
This match comes as part of the training camp program taking place in the Emirates, as the winning goal for our first team was scored by the defender of the FC Akron team, by mistake in his own team’s goal, before player Omar Majbas doubled the score by scoring the second goal.
The Iraqi Olympic team’s training match against the Russian team will precede its match against the Egyptian Olympic team on the 20th of this month, to be a qualifier for the matches that our team will play, as it will play on the 23rd of this month against the UAE Olympic team, then conclude its camp by facing the Togo team on the 27th of this month.
