STORY – Trump, acquitted twice, encourages the radical wing of the party to take revenge against the Democratic president.

Included in the US Constitution as a measure of last resort, the impeachment of the president is on the way to becoming a political weapon like any other. After the two attempts by the Democrats to impeach Donald Trump, that of 2019 and 2021, voted by the House of Representatives, but rejected by the Senate, the Republicans now want their revenge by taking the same measure against Joe Biden.
The radical wing of the party in Congress is pressing for the opening of a procedure for the impeachment of the Democratic president, whom it accuses of corruption. If it does not win its case, this current threatens not to vote for the additional budget that Congress must approve before September 30 next to prevent the federal government from finding itself in default.
