(ANSA) – ROME, JULY 21 – No PC? No problem for the US tax authorities: 2024 will see the debut of the new “Irs Free File” service. The Revenue Agency reminds us of this on its webzine FiscoOggi, describing the plans of the Internal Revenue Service, the American agency. In practice, it is a kit of applications that allows access to a wide range of tax forms and documents via cell phones and mobile devices. The aim is to allow taxpayers to carry out their tax operations, including tax returns, on their smartphone or tablet. In detail, the applications are all accessible via free tax software made available by partners, companies and specialized suppliers, with specific authorization from the Irs. Once they have accessed these free programs, eligible taxpayers, with incomes under 80 thousand dollars, will be able to prepare and submit their federal tax return or, if necessary, exchange documents and other notes of fiscal relevance with the tax authorities. More generally, this year more tax controls are expected on wealthy taxpayers, large companies and financial instruments for 341 billion dollars of extra revenue in the decade 2024-34, also thanks to the use of Artificial Intelligence.
