Today, Saturday, the Prime Minister of the National Unity Government, Abdul Hamid Al-Dabaiba, honored the medical and paramedical personnel and administrators at the Eye Hospital, in appreciation of the exceptional efforts made during the year 2024.
In his speech during the ceremony, President Al-Dabaiba stressed “the importance of the hospital as one of the most prominent medical edifices in Libya, praising the achievements that were achieved, which included detecting 200,000 medical cases and performing 12,000 surgical operations during the past year.”
He also praised the efforts of the medical convoys that visited 12 Libyan cities, provided examination and care services for more than 30,000 cases, and carried out 3,500 surgical operations, in addition to the achievements of the Corneal Transplant Authority, which succeeded in performing 1,000 corneal transplant operations in various cities in Libya, considering these efforts as a model of dedication. And teamwork.”
Al-Dabaiba pointed out, “This occasion is not only to celebrate achievements, but rather confirms the government’s commitment to supporting initiatives that contribute to developing the health sector and raising the level of health care.”
At the conclusion of the ceremony, “the medical and administrative teams were honored, and the “Millennium Shield” was handed over to the team that completed the corneal transplant operations, in appreciation of their distinguished efforts in providing exceptional medical services.”
