The “West Coast” military zone continues its military operations to eliminate crime and smuggling dens. Last night, it carried out a series of air strikes targeting fuel smuggling sites inside the city of Zawiya in the Ispan area, resulting in the destruction of a number of suspicious dens.

The district stressed “the importance of civilians’ commitment to staying away from areas of illegal operations and dens, and called on citizens to strengthen cooperation with military and security authorities by reporting any suspicious movements or outlaw gatherings to ensure security and stability in the city.”

The West Coast Military District also appealed to all citizens to stay away from the sites that were targeted during the precision air strikes, in order to preserve their safety due to the possibility of the presence of explosive materials in those areas.

Today, Sunday, the Commander of the West Coast Military Region, Lieutenant General Dr. Salah al-Din al-Namroush, accompanied by the Commander of the Western Military Police, Major General Ali al-Dhib, made an inspection tour in the Abu Sura area in the city of Zawiya, with the aim of checking on the security conditions and following up on the progress of matters in the region.

The West Coast Military District confirmed “its continued pursuit of drug dens without compromise, and its commitment to protecting young people and deterring poison dealers who have turned our children into victims in various regions of the West Coast.”
