Closing of shops

The spread of corona in Tamil Nadu is increasing day by day. The Government of Tamil Nadu is taking various measures to control this. Accordingly, night curfew and full curfew on Sundays have been implemented. All shops in the Needamangalam area were closed due to the complete curfew yesterday. Thus the roads were deserted with no people moving. Also devotees are not allowed in places of worship. Vehicles were allowed only for essential tasks. The trains ran as usual. Buses are not running. Crowds thronged the butcher shops yesterday amid a full curfew. Government and private hospitals, drug stores, and milk stations operated. Needamangalam police were on intensive patrol during the curfew.

Thiruthuraipoondi Deputy Superintendent of Police Somasundaram, Inspector Kalaniyappan and police alerted those who roamed the roads in two-wheelers unnecessarily.

Koothanallur

Shops in Koothanallur and Vadapathimangalam areas were closed due to the complete curfew. As a result, the Letsumangudi shopping road, Upper Shop Street, Boy Street, Hospital Road, Main Shopping Road and Vadapathimangalam shopping road in Koothanallur area were deserted without any movement of people. Police were on intensive patrol in Koothanallur and Vadapathimangalam areas during the curfew.
