In this city…Encouraging residents to clean themselves with “sexual clips”

by time news

The Swedish municipality of Malmö has devised an unusual way to get residents to throw garbage in its designated bins instead of on the streets.

Business Insider said that to encourage people to dispose of their garbage the right way, officials placed two litter boxes on a bridge with a “reward” for those using them.

The Swedish website, The Local, said the two boxes were programmed to respond to litter littering with audio clips of sexually suggestive and funny phrases at the same time, such as “Come back quickly and do it again” and “That was insanely good.”

The goal is to encourage “people who do the right thing with their laughter,” Marie Persson, head of the Malmö road department, told the Swedish newspaper.

She added that the city sought to get people to “talk about the dirtiest thing that exists and that is littering. The things that end up in our streets, squares and the sea.”
