The annual consumption of alcohol per person in the Czech Republic is 14.4 liters, in Seychelles 13.8 liters, in Germany 13.4 liters, in Nigeria 13.4 liters, in Latvia 12.9 liters, in Bulgaria 12.7 liters, in France 12.6 liters and in Portugal 12.3 liters. After this comes Belgium, Russia, Austria, Estonia, Poland, Switzerland, UK, Uruguay, Finland, Australia, Denmark, Greece, South Korea and Spain. In these countries, the annual per capita consumption of alcohol is more than 10 liters.

In Argentina, America, Chile, South Africa, Sweden, Iceland, Canada, Netherlands, Ukraine, Thailand, Japan, Brazil, Kazakhstan, Italy, Norway, China, Cambodia, Philippines, Mexico and Colombia, every adult man drinks more than five liters of alcohol on an average every year. In India it is 5.7 liters. Islamic countries are at the bottom of this list. Consumption of alcohol is zero in Kuwait. In Saudi Arabia, the annual consumption of alcohol per person is 0.2 liters while in Pakistan it is 0.3 liters. In Egypt it is 0.4 liters, in Niger 0.5 liters, in Indonesia 0.8 liters, in Iran 1 liter, in Turkey 2 liters, in Singapore 2.5 liters, in UAE 3.8 liters, in North Korea 3.9 liters and in Venezuela 5.6 liters.
