Time.news – Turkey restarts with phase 2 of post lockdown normalization: starting from June 1st there is a partial reopening of restaurants and bars and a substantial relaxation of the curfew in force. The president announced the new measures Recep Tayyip Erdogan, at the end of the meeting of the Council of Ministers which met with the scientific committee. The restaurants and cafes will be open from 7 am to 9 pm, every day except Sundays when they can only take away.

The curfew in effect is eased by one hour and will begin at 10pm and not 9pm and will continue to last until 5 am every day of the week, while the provision relating to curfew weekends in effect since the beginning of December had already been suspended from Monday morning. In a month and a half in the country there has been a decline in covid cases, from 63,000 on April 16 to about 11,000 on May 16, up to 6,933 cases recorded yesterday. Decisive, by the way, the total lockdown imposed between 29 April and 17 May.
