/ In a strange incident, a quarrel broke out in the Turkish coastal city of Izmir a few hours ago between a Turkish man and his son, in which white weapons were used. However, the killer’s reaction was strange, which led to the incident being widely circulated on social media after the local police published a statement about the incident. So, what did the killer do to be talked about in Türkiye?
The Turkish police said in a statement that the quarrel between the Turkish man, Cihan Inan, and his son, Bora, took place at around 9:00 p.m. last night inside an apartment located on 3080 Street in the Bozyaka district. The Turkish man is 46 years old, while his son is 20 years old.
Several stab wounds
The police added that Bora, the son of the Turkish man, stabbed his father with a knife several times due to verbal arguments for various reasons, and then called the emergency teams and explained to them what happened inside the house after revealing his address to the emergency teams and literally told them: “He might be dead” before fleeing the scene of the incident.
Social media users in Turkey wondered about the reasons that led the young Turkish man to kill his father, and most of them included the phrase “maybe he died” in their posts in which they addressed the incident.
Although emergency and ambulance teams tried to save the Turkish man, he died hours after being stabbed by his son.
Acknowledgement of the incident
Hours ago, the police were also able to arrest Bora, who confessed to killing his father by stabbing him with a knife due to differences between them related to a fight that occurred between his father and mother about a month ago.
Bora had stabbed his father three times in the back, which caused his death despite medical intervention.
He said in his initial statement, according to the police, that his father had insulted his mother a few weeks ago, which led to a verbal altercation between him and his father yesterday before he stabbed him with a knife and killed him.
The incident occurred while Bora’s mother was away from home, as he was alone with his father when the quarrel broke out between them, according to his statement to the police.
The police also stated that the body of the Turkish man was transferred to the Izmir Forensic Medicine Morgue after the investigation conducted by the Public Prosecutor’s Office and police teams at the scene of the incident and after the detention of the victim’s son, with whom the authorities are still investigating in preparation for transferring him to court.
