(ANSA) – TRIESTE, 29 AUG – Visits and exams also on Saturdays, in Udine and the province, to contain waiting lists: this is what the new action plan of the Central Friuli University Health Authority provides, starting on Saturday 7 September.
In detail, a note informs, until December 28 “240 additional outpatient sessions will be activated scheduled on Saturdays for a total of approximately 2,500 tests made available by the Company. This increased offer was made possible thanks to a major review of the delivery model involving all Asufc hospital facilities”. The 240 additional sessions will be distributed among the hospitals of Udine (140), Latisana and Palmanova (55), San Daniele and Tolmezzo (35) and Gervasutta (10).
From September 1st, Asufc adds, “the outpatient offer will be further expanded with an increase focused on the most critical services thanks to an important contribution also from the accredited private sector”. Furthermore, always at the outpatient level, the Company “is deepening the verification of the appropriateness of the demand, with a view to improving the response which in this case means intervening on waiting times. In the near future, the care pathways for inpatients will also be reviewed”.
“We are reviewing the entire system of services – says the director general of Asufc, Denis Caporale – analyzing each individual process point by point and trying to optimize resources for a more adequate offer: the addition of Saturdays is an opportunity that could give a further boost to the containment of waiting times”.
