NEWS – Despite the efforts of the government and football organizations to remove mines, farmers are clearing their fields to continue working.

Before the war, Ivan always took his metal detector out on the weekends. This farmer from Petrivske, a mountain village in eastern Ukraine, is looking for coins and even materials from World War II. In 2022, war comes in your wheat fields. The Russians entered the city which then occupied 2,650 inhabitants with a column of 240 tanks and other military equipment to try to surround the Ukrainian positions in the Donbass to the south and Kharkiv, the country’s second city. The Russians occupied the village for five days, before the Ukrainian army pushed them back. The village then found itself in a gray area for nine months. Front line frozen in the forest, separated by the Donets River, once popular with fishermen.
