The police was informed about the accident at the intersection of Vilnius and Bridge Streets at 10 am. 55 minutes

According to preliminary data, the Citroen collided with a BMW motorcade driven by the Lithuanian ambassador to the Kingdom of Spain, Lyra Puišytė – Bostrem (born in 1967).

An ambulance was also called to the 56-year-old ambassador who suffered a possible head injury at the scene of the accident.

However, it turned out later that the woman was not injured in the accident.

After the accident, the traffic in this area was not disturbed, there were no traffic jams.

The driver of the BMW (born 1956) later told the police that the accident happened as the motorcade of the Andorran delegation was leaving the Government House. The Citroen car crashed into the BMW while the latter was driving in a convoy.

The driver of the car that caused the accident (born in 2003) later told the authorities that he saw a police car that was accompanying the delegation cross the intersection. However, the guy claimed that he did not notice the BMW driving in the convoy.

Both drivers were sober.

An investigation into the traffic accident has been launched.
