The Met office said on Thursday that it will rain in 14 districts including Chennai, Kanchipuram and Tiruvallur for the next two hours.
Extreme levels of rainfall are expected in Tamil Nadu from today as the Bay of Bengal cyclone is expected to turn into a depression in the next 12 hours.

In this case, the report of the Meteorological Center shared by the Disaster Management Authority,
“Moderate thundershowers will occur at a few places in Kanyakumari, Tirunelveli, Tuticorin, Ramanathapuram, Tiruchirappalli, Chennai, Chengalpattu, Kanchipuram, Tiruvallur, Thanjavur, Thiruvarur, Nagapattinam, Mayiladuthurai and Kadalur districts of Tamil Nadu during the next two hours.”
