In some regions of Yakutia, the rains that have passed in the forests have reduced the fire hazard class to the first, TASS reports, citing data from the main department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the republic.

This applies to fires in Megino-Kangalassky, Churapchinsky, Zhigansky districts. Today rain is expected in the republic in the central regions and in the west of the Ust-Maisky and Tomponsky regions. A frontal cloud strip will come out here from the south.

And yet, the headquarters assumes that, as before, it is possible to preserve smoke in Yakutsk and individual settlements of the central, trans-river and Vilyui group of districts.

Now in Yakutia there are 92 natural fires, 28 were liquidated on an area of over 1.3 million hectares per day. 3,600 people are involved in extinguishing, 517 pieces of equipment are involved.

In the villages of Ergelekh, Edey, Kyuptsy, Melzhekhsi and in the national park “Lena Pillars” mineralized strips are being expanded, and individual fires are extinguished.

During the day, the aviation of the EMERCOM of Russia was used on the territory of the Ust-Maysky, Tomponsky and Khangalassky districts 41 times. 64 discharges were made and 448 tons of water were dumped.

“The most active work on extinguishing is carried out in ten districts of Yakutia. Seven wildfires continue to operate in the ten-kilometer zone, of which three are now localized,” the agency quotes the words of the head of the regional headquarters of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Pavel Garin.

A tense situation persists in the Ust-Maisky, Khangalassky and Churapchinsky districts.
