ARD’s Moscow correspondent, Ina Ruck (61), will be named “Journalist of the Year” by “Medium Magazin” in 2023. “Despite state reprisals and the risk of being arrested as an “enemy agent”, Ina Ruck tirelessly conveys impressions, backgrounds and facts that give us a realistic look at Putin’s Russia – a country that no longer knows a free press,” explained the jury makes their choice.
“How she masters the balancing act between the obligation to provide information and the ‘unsayable’ is impressive.” The industry magazine has been awarding the undoped “Journalists of the Year” award since 2004.
