by times news cr

He Plenary session of the National Institute of TransparencyAccess to Information and Protection of Personal Data (INAI) ordered the CNDH report on 21 migrants who were rescued in Chihuahua.

In response to a request from a person to know the situation regarding public servants linked to violations of human rights, and the principle of the best interests of children, to the detriment of 21 foreign minors in mobility, the General Coordination for Monitoring Recommendations of the National Human Rights Commission (CNDH) reported that no complaint was filed and suggested asking the Senate about the actions taken in this matter.

In response, a review appeal was filed with the INAI, where Commissioner Josefina Román Vergara concluded that the information was not sought and that, contrary to what was argued by that Commission, the recommendation did instruct the corresponding Federal Public Prosecutor to be informed of the facts.

“Issues like this remind us that girls and adolescents have the right to life… and to be considered first as children, regardless of whether they are migrants.”
