jpnn.comBATAM – Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto inaugurated Alexander Zulkarnain, who replaced Wahjoe Triwidijo Koentjoro as Member of the Administration and Finance Division of the Batam Authority (BP), Monday (26/8).
Coordinating Minister Airlangga said that the change was tour of duty to be able to provide energy and refreshment as well as efforts to maintain and improve performance in the BP Batam environment.
“We congratulate Mr. Alexander Zulkarnain, and of course with his joining the ranks of BP Batam, he can adapt and run fast, and as a replacement for Mr. Wahjoe Triwidijo Koentjoro, so that BP Batam encourages this area to become more advanced,” said Coordinating Minister Airlangga.
Coordinating Minister Airlangga also expressed his gratitude and appreciation to Wahjoe Triwidijo Koentjoro who has served as Member of the Administration and Finance Division of BP Batam since 2019.
“Hopefully your devotion will be a field of charity for you and your family,” said Coordinating Minister Airlangga.
On that occasion, Coordinating Minister Airlangga revealed that there are still many global economic challenges that must be faced, such as geopolitical tensions, strong competition between countries, commodity prices that are starting to weaken, and interest rates that are still higher for longer.
With the economic fragmentation that is occurring and climate change, competing countries are seeing Batam as an investment opportunity, so the synergy between BP Batam and the Batam City Government, the Riau Islands Provincial Government, and the Central Government must be even closer.
“The Batam area has also become free trade zone, “Special economic zone, no province in the whole of Indonesia has facilities like Batam,” said Coordinating Minister Airlangga.
