Thus, in the commune of El Fask, the wali of the Guelmim-Oued Noun region, Mohamed Najem Abhai, accompanied by the president of the Council of the region, Mbarka Bouaida, kicked off two projects to strengthen the road infrastructure, which is part of the program to reduce spatial and social disparities in rural areas.

The first project requires an investment of 30 million dirhams (MDH), including a contribution of 20 million dirhams from the Regional Council and 10 million dirhams from the Ministry of Equipment and Water, while the second project represents an investment of 45 million dirhams (MDH). MDH, including 6 MDH provided by the Regional Council, 30 MDH by the Ministry of Equipment and Water and 9 MDH by the Rural Development Fund.

These projects aim in particular to improve transport conditions and citizens’ access to basic services and to strengthen road safety.

In the commune of Taghjijt, the delegation launched work to supply drinking water to the centers of the region, as part of the national drinking water supply and irrigation program 2020-2027, as well as construction projects. development of oasis zones and fight against the risks of recurring fires in four oases of the municipality, for a budget of 25.4 MDH.

Construction work on a boarding school at Timoulay high school was also launched at an estimated cost of 4.5 million dirhams.

In the area of ​​strengthening water infrastructure, the delegation kicked off the project to develop the Sidi Mahjoub dam in the commune of Ifrane Atlas Sghir for a total cost estimated at 6 million dirhams.

In the province of Sidi Ifni, Mr. Abhai, accompanied by the governor of the province, Hassan Sidki and Ms. Bouaida, chaired the launch of construction work on the local hospital in the commune of Lakhsas, for a budget of 61 .6 MDH.

The project aims to improve the population’s access to health care, strengthen hospital infrastructure and increase the quality of health services.
