On the morning of July 15, in the main auditorium of the Chimborazo Prefecture, an emotional inauguration ceremony was held for the new rural provincial councilors, who will assume their public functions to integrate the Provincial Council.

The event was attended by prominent local and provincial authorities, including: Remigio Roldán, Mayor of Alausí; Oswaldo Estrada, Mayor of Guano; Luis Escobar, Mayor of Chambo; Oswaldo Bonifaz, Mayor of Cumandá; and Fabián Aldaz, Mayor of Penipe, as well as other community leaders.

The new Provincial Councillors, who were sworn in by a notarized agreement, were received with honours by the community present. Hermel Tayupanda Cuvi, Prefect of Chimborazo, stressed in his speech the importance of collaboration between all levels of government and civil society for the comprehensive development of the province. During the ceremony, the dedication and service of the outgoing councillors to the community was also recognised.

New provincial councilors: Paolo Ocaña Villacres (President GAD-P Licán) and Deputy Franklin Guamán Guambo (President GAD-P Flores), Fausto Villa Tenemaza (President GAD-P Capsol) and Deputy Blanca Shinin (President GAD-P Chunchi), José Caín Coro (President GAD-P Cebadas) and Deputy Carlos Guevara Gómez (President GAD-P Licto), José Congacha (President GAD-P Santiago de Quito) and Deputy Graciela Aguilar (President GAD-P Cañi), Darwin Freire (President GAD -P Bilbao) and Deputy Mario Maza (President GAD-P Pungalá), Walter Espinoza (President GAD-P Sevilla) and Deputy Luis Malan (President GAD-P Guasuntos), Segundo Desiderio (President GAD-P Guanando) continues in functions. The event concluded with a message of hope and commitment from the new councillors, who expressed their willingness to work hard for the well-being and progress of their communities and the province of Chimborazo as a whole.
