ICCB Heritage Restaurant has been shifted to the new building considering the demand of the consumers. The new building adjacent to the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) Hall-1, 300 feet from the capital, was inaugurated on Monday (April 8).
ICCB Chief Operating Officer SM Jaseem Uddin presided over the inauguration ceremony. Apart from this, Bashundhara Group Treasurer Moynal Hossain Chowdhury, Bashundhara Group Senior DMD Mostafizur Rahman, Bashundhara Group Sector A Chief Human Resource Officer Captain Sheikh Ehsan Reza, ICCB Head of Division Accounts SM Monirul Islam Palash and senior officials of ICCB and Bashundhara Group were also present.
In his opening speech, SM Jasim Uddin said that the clothes, habits and food habits of the Mughal royal family are like a memory. A story surrounded by mystery. The history of that period of life is almost extinct today. We have tried to convey the food habits of the Mughals to the new generation.
Tried to capture their traditions. At ICCB Heritage Restaurant, the people of Dhaka will be able to experience the extraordinary food arrangements and realize the royal life. This restaurant will remain as a bearer of Mughal tradition in the heart of Dhaka for ages.
He added that the new building was decided on the request of the diners, “We could not accommodate many customers because of lack of space in the previous building.”
In the current arrangement, we can comfortably accommodate large groups to enjoy the meal. Also, the 300 feet view of the lake and the beauty of the road can be enjoyed from the restaurant.
S. M. Monirul Islam Palash said, the heritage restaurant launched in ICCB has been identified as a special restaurant in Bangladesh. Because there is no Mughal restaurant in Bangladesh yet. The entire restaurant is decorated in the Mughal tradition. ICCB Heritage Restaurant has not only come to be a means of eating, it has come to preserve an industry and a tradition. The journey of Heritage Restaurant started in 2021 with the aim of promoting the real food habits of the Mughals. In this restaurant, the legendary Mughal food, kasar plates-glasses-chamich and various decorations inside and outside the building reflect the image of that period.
