The 4.5 feet tall, 200 kg baby Rama holds an arrow in his right hand and a bow in his left. He has a golden crown on his head. All the 10 incarnations of Lord Krishna are delicately carved in the posture of the idol.

A photo of the baby Rama’s eyes covered with a yellow cloth was released yesterday. Following this, a photo of the baby Rama’s full-length idol was released yesterday for the first time. This photo is going viral on social media.

Rama Janma Bhumi Thirtha Trust Shetra sources said about the statue of Lord Rama:

In the year 1949, an idol of Lord Rama was found in the birthplace of Lord Rama. The height of this silver statue is 6 inches. Statues of Rama’s brothers and Hanuman are shorter than this.

In the newly built Ram Temple, devotees can worship baby Lord Rama from a distance of about 19 feet. From such a distance, the 6-inch tall baby Rama cannot be seen clearly.

So Arun Yogiraj from Karnataka, Ganesh Bhatt and Satyanarayan Pandey from Rajasthan carved idols of Lord Rama. Two sculptors from Karnataka created the idols in black stone and a sculptor from Rajasthan in marble. In the end, the members of the Janma Bhoomi Theertha Shetra Foundation unanimously decided to install a baby Rama statue sculpted by sculptor Arun Yogiraj from Mysore, Karnataka in the sanctum sanctorum.

The height of this idol is 4.5 feet. The plinth is erected at a height of about 4 feet. The old 6-inch baby Rama statue will be installed to the right of the new statue. The idol will be consecrated on January 22 as per Agama rules.

Worship at the makeshift Ram temple has been suspended since Saturday morning. Only VVIPs will be allowed to worship on the inauguration of the new temple. Devotees can worship from 23rd. Foundation sources said.
