Kollam: The police have arrested her boyfriend in the case of the death of a 17-year-old girl in Chadayamangalam. Akhil, a native of Kattambali, was arrested from Bengaluru. On the morning of February 25, the 17-year-old girl was found hanging inside the house.
The girl fell in love with Akhil when she was studying in ninth standard. Loved for two years. Akhil had bought a phone for the girl. Akhil promised to get married but later backed out. The girl hanged herself because of this. Akhil was arrested on charges of abetment of suicide. The girl’s family gave a statement to the police that Akhil molested the child despite being forbidden many times. The child’s mother had lodged a complaint with the Chief Minister and DGP alleging that Akhil had tortured her daughter and pushed her to death.
