Thiruvananthapuram: The doctors in charge of urology and nephrology departments have been suspended in connection with the death of a patient after an organ transplant at Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital. Health Minister Veena George said the action was taken after an inquiry and ordered a comprehensive inquiry. Non-doctors will check to see if there is a drop in coordination and if the kidney box is taken. The minister said the action was taken on the basis of a report by the Additional Chief Secretary.
