Serious incidents occurred in a football match in Rhodes, between the teams of Iraklis Lardos and Posidonas Karpathos.
According to sport-fm.gr, shortly before the end of the match, there were fights between the football players, inside the field of play.
As shown in the relevant video, a football player of the home team kicked a Poseidon player in the head, who collapsed to the ground. The athlete who received the blow was taken to the island’s hospital for the necessary medical examinations.
The administration of Poseidon Karpathos filed a lawsuit against the Herakles footballer, who has so far eluded arrest.
In a statement, the union notes that “such actions and behaviors set football back many years and we do not want such football. What the opposing football player did, if it can be called that, we don’t even see it in martial arts matches.”
“The football player and our association proceeded with the necessary legal actions. From now on, the competent bodies and the judiciary have the say,” the statement added.
